Dashboard work, and It's Driving!
We received the parts order for the dash (lots of switches and cables etc) and got it all assembled. Got new bezels for the speedometer and tachometer, looks nice. The installed dashboard into car: Next step was getting everything connected and then starting the engine. We now have a complete cooling system including temperature gauge so we can run the car for longer time periods. After Vince tried to start the car without gas, we tried again with gas in the tank and it ran well. But it was spurting oil from the flexible oil pressure line by the engine. Bummer. Borrowed the same oil line from Ray's car so we weren't leaving an oil slick behind as we were driving. The engine ran well, oil pressure and temperature were good. Tachometer worked. Then drove the car around our "race track", was able to shift it into all four gears plus reverse just fine. Speedometer even worked! Here's some video to prove it. ...
